JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all physical and virtual infrastructure components including but not limited to: servers, storage, networking, voice, and security. This role will work with other IT teams to ensure that the infrastructure is designed and operated to meet the company's business objectives and strategy. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Server Management Monitoring server storage capacity to ensure adequate space is available for new data Data Backup and Recovery - including monitoring of backups Cloud Services Management Security Management Monitoring and Performance Tuning Infrastructure Automation Assist with Disaster Recovery Planning Capacity Planning Network and Infrastructure Troubleshooting Hardware and Software Procurement Documentation of the technology supported by this role Patch Management Compliance and Governance Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully, however in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications. Education, Training, Certifications: Bachelor's in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, strongly preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. Master's in Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar, preferred. Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements: 10 years IT Infrastructure management and support required. 5 years Microsoft Server/Azure/Office product lines, required. Proficient in IT designs, processes, and procedures, required. Communication Skills: Must have the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers. Systems and Software Skills: Strong understanding of industry best practices. Strong knowledge of server infrastructure. Excellent communication, collaboration, and training skills. Strong problem-solving and proje t management skills. Extensive knowledge, or ability to obtain, internal processes with experience allowing for IT improvement recommendations. Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, server infrastructure security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills. Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize. Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices. Other Qualifications: Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required. Must be able to comply with SFPH's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement. Work Environment: Employee will consistently be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others. Office settings are mild to moderate temperatures. Sit and stand for long periods of time.
