Business Development Manager

We provide cleaning products to various industries like fleet maintenance, the print industry, and MRO. Business Development Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, cultivating them, and turning them into profitable sales.
  • Managing and servicing existing clients to grow their sales with us each year.
  • Meet or exceed sales-oriented goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a positive minimum profit margin on all business.
  • Review sales and variance reports, develop simple plans to correct any deficiencies, and enact those plans to ensure positive sales growth in each account.
  • Report on opportunities you have in the pipeline and what the ongoing status is of each one.
  • Generate occasional business health reports for the Executive team as needed.
  • Learn and understand a diverse product catalog, so you are able to sell and service customers.
  • Gain an understanding of the markets being served, through self-exploration and research.
  • Follow protocols for proposing, quoting, and converting opportunities into new business.
  • Adhere to company policies and act as a good steward of company resources, always conducting yourself in a professional manner that leaves a positive impression on the people you deal with (both within the company and outside of the company)

ABOUT THIS POSITION: This is a hybrid position that requires occasional travel to visit customers and to our main office in the western suburbs of Chicago. You will regularly interact with customers and prospects by email, phone, and video conference. An average day is filled with prospecting, various customer support responsibilities, working with Leadership to generate proposals, and closing profitable business. Working with existing clients to grow their business with us through promotion and line expansion is a key duty. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of dedicated active work from 8-5 each day Monday-Friday. On occasion it will be necessary to extend the work day, start earlier, or even possible weekends if the customer requires meeting outside of normal business hours.

WHAT WE OFFER: This is a salaried position with bonus incentives for reaching and exceeding sales and profit goals.
