Job Title: Staff Scientist/Engineer - Process Technology

Summary:Lead the product process developments in the area of silicone based electronic material from the laboratory via pilot to production scale under consideration of sustainability, safety, quality, robustness, yields and overall cost. Provide sufficient knowledge to review/validate the program scope and deliverables with stakeholders, communicates to broader business teams as key spokesperson on project.

Responsibilities Include:

• Adhere to Site safety policies and procedures independently. Able to identify and report unsafe work practices. Actively participate safety meetings.

• Independently plan and organize multiple/complex/global projects of significant financial impact, lead project teams and laboratory activities in conformance with local safety and legal regulations.

• Own the project management of the Process Technology related tasks of NPDI-Projects. Work with R&D to define the key process parameters and define their tolerance via stress studies to ensure robust manufacturing.

• Support the translation of production processes from one plant to another.

• Drive the Continuous Improvement and Quality Defect Root Cause investigation and root cause corrective action process.

• Influence indirect support resources (scientists, technicians & support functions), manages other functions in problem solution. Engage with stakeholders effectively to review / validates the program scope and deliverables.

• Has sufficient technical expertise in the analysis, synthesis, production and application of silicone based electronic materials as recognized expert in the scope.

• Act as a knowledge source and offer technical guidance to project teams, resolve dead lock situations by constructive dialogue. Adept at effectively communicating to all stakeholders to achieve desired results.

• Develops solutions to complex/conflicting customer and business needs, sets appropriate targets & milestones, ability to engage and leverage non-tech/cross-functional audience, ability to effective train new employees & technicians. Has selective, direct contact with customers/suppliers. Builds relationships with key customers/suppliers.

• Communicate to broader business team as key spokesperson on project status and relevant updates. Conducts technical documentation. Documents and authors complete task or project related technical reports, including final project documentation, with guidance.

• Cooperate closely with Technology, Manufacturing, Marketing (ADEs), Sourcing, Quality Management System, Quality Control and Product Stewardship.
