Amazon Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect, Live Production and Broadcast in Seoul, South Korea

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect (SA) who will be responsible for the technology strategy and senior level relationships with our enterprise media customers, as well as thought leadership in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry. The AWS Solutions Architect (SA) is responsible for educating customers, partners, systems integrators, and strategic consultancies on emerging technologies and solutions that are transforming the M&E industry, particularly in Live Production and Broadcast solution areas. They help with hands-on architecture for real-life customer projects involving AWS services, Independent Software Vendor (ISV)/partner solutions. They also work with cross Amazon teams to design outcome based holistic solutions for our strategic M&E opportunities. The SA builds and publishes content and collateral, and presents to customers in 1:1 and 1:many settings. They work with customers remotely and in person.

Key job responsibilities

This Solutions Architect will work deep in the M&E, Games, and Sports industries with live cloud production, live cloud broadcast, cloud channel playout origination, distribution monitoring, post production and other associated technologies. This role will see around corners and identify applications of emerging technologies to reduce friction, eliminate waste, and re-invent customer workflows with industry/cloud-based tools and architectures. The SA delivers written and spoken communications to establish AWS as the public cloud of choice for media organizations looking to accelerate revenue growth and improve return on assets.

This position will work with:

• Live event production on the AWS cloud

• Live Camera to cloud

• Multichannel audio production and delivery for live

• Channel playout origination

• Master Control rooms

• Production Control rooms

• Advertising signaling and insertion

• Cloud signals routing

• Multicamera Switching

• Live graphics

• Distribution and monitoring

• Post production

The Solutions Architect will also work with modern live production and broadcast systems including:

• Partner solutions used widely in the M&E industry

• Serverless compute platforms and architecture patterns

• Storage and architectural patterns around distributed systems

• Big Data Analytics

You will be part of a team of worldwide AWS Media and Entertainment Specialist Solutions Architects engaging customers locally and sharing knowledge globally. We all learn from a diverse pool of expertise coupled with on the ground practical knowledge gained from Working Backwards from our customer needs.

Seoul, KOR

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technology architecture roles within large enterprise media organizations or partners with a focus on live production and broadcast.

  • 5+ years of experience working with integrated content ingest, library, enhancement, and delivery workflows including knowledge of content production, direct-to-consumer, analytics, MAM, content lakes, and content metadata

  • 5+ years of experience designing and measuring the effectiveness of complex live production and broadcast workflows.

  • Experience in architecting complex distributed use cases leveraging AWS services and multi-vendor environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Breadth of experience across IT and/or practical M&E industry experience in multiple of the following areas:

  • Software design or development; Infrastructure architecture; Distributed systems; Content/Data Security; Data Center Operations; Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics

  • Prior Hands-on AWS experience and deep knowledge of cloud architectures

  • Expert level technical acumen, including the ability to understand the customer and partner landscape, identify opportunities and overcome technical obstacles, ultimately influencing the adoption of AWS services.

  • Expert level ability to understand the business domain of the customer or partner and the business problems the customer or partner is facing, with the intent to solve the business problems.

  • Expert level ability to interact with senior leadership (e.g. CxO’s) within a customer or partner organization.
