Amazon Sr. Product Manager- Tech, Private Brands Intelligence in Seattle, Washington

The Private Brands Intelligence team is looking for a seasoned, dynamic, innovative leader to lead and execute the global expansion strategy of one of our most important supply chain programs.

This high-visibility position requires an experienced leader with a strong business strategy and technical background, who also understands how scalable systems are built and then improved, and can drive influence across senior leaders from varying cross-functional teams. The role spans our worldwide Private Brands businesses and includes responsibilities for developing and executing strategies that drive procurement optimization and global expansion. To succeed, you must possess the ability to operate from a global and company-wide perspective, maintain an inquisitive nature, and lead with an approach that encourages cross-functional and cross-business collaboration.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work on a variety of challenging problems that have potential to significantly impact Amazon’s business and competitive position.

  • Collaborate with groups of experts and cross-functional colleagues in an agile environment.

  • Learn and grow by being exposed to multiple organizational problems in a short time frame.

  • Create and execute global Supply Chain vision and strategy to support the profitable growth of an important Private Brands program.

  • Define the roadmap and detailed product requirements required to achieve your vision

  • Lead global planning systems development and align cross-functionally with leaders across Supply Chain, Sourcing, Operations, and Tech

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Track record of achievements. You’ve shipped cool stuff that has moved the needle on key business & customer metrics. You have a proven ability to make smart feature versus time-to-market trade-offs. You have demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision.

  • Technical fluency. You have the ability to understand, discuss, and challenge architectural concepts, tradeoffs, and new opportunities with technical team members.

  • Strong collaboration skills. You have a proven ability to work across functions and across marketplaces to influence senior leaders. You quickly earn the trust of people you work with.

  • Excellent customer experience intuition. You obsess about customers and can translate customer needs into crisp, detailed product requirements. You are able to develop innovative product solutions that are grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs.

  • Strong ownership and bias for action. One of your favorite things to do as a product manager is to launch, learn and iterate. You know what matters most to customers and can simplify product requirements to deliver benefits to customers quickly. Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.

  • Data-centric and analytical. You have experience leveraging your strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep to develop a nuanced understanding of your product and customers, back up assumptions, and create effective strategies. You also have a demonstrated ability to make high quality high impact decisions in the absence of data and figure out how to gather data (through experiments, tests, etc) to support your decisions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
