Amazon Sr. Product Developer, Strategic Initiatives, Amazon Private Brands in Seattle, Washington

Amazon’s Softlines Private Brands (SPB) team is currently seeking a dynamic and visionary Sr. Product Developer that will be responsible for creating the product roadmap for high profile brand partnerships and strategic products and for scalably reducing commercialization time through speed initiatives.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about product and have strong product development, project management and analytical skills. They should feel comfortable dealing with ambiguity, driving stakeholder engagement, and working in an entrepreneurial environment. This Sr. Product Developer should be able to collaborate with and influence multiple (global) teams across and outside of the APB organization. This role interacts with the design, business management, in-stock management, marketing, sourcing and tech teams across Amazon Private Brands.

Key job responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of customer signals and product performance to inform product roadmap for high profile brand partnerships and specialty products.

  • Own selection identification, feature set, business requirements and prioritization for forward looking line plan.

  • Collaborate with and manage a diverse stakeholder base across Design, Product Development, Business Management, In Stock Management, Marketing and other Amazon teams.

  • Successfully navigate through ambiguity, applying strong problem solving skills to stand up new processes that unlock speed on high-visibility cross-category initiatives in partnership with stakeholders in and outside of Private Brands. .

  • Successfully document key learnings and identify opportunities for simplification while creating a playbook for future high-speed commercialization.

  • Identify and mitigate process/system defects, deep diving root causes and developing solutions.

  • Partner with product families outside of Softlines to drive development synergies.

  • Drive the definition and documentation of future-state processes.

  • Manage prioritization of and trade-offs between speed to market, business performance, and product features.

Basic Qualifications

-5+ years of product, program, or project management.

-Experience leading cross-functional teams in delivery of major new products or services

-Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

-Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

-Masters or MBA

-Experience managing a P&L

-Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

-Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

-Competence with SQL (basic queries)

-Knowledge of Ecommerce

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
