In this position...

  • Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships.

  • Lead supplier commercial negotiations.

  • Manage supplier RFIs, RFQs, and Commercial Agreements.

What you'll do...

  • Quote and negotiate pricing with suppliers for the purchase of service parts, tooling, and services.

  • Approve Purchase Orders for Prototype, production, services, etc.

  • Assist in the resolution of cost, quality, and delivery issues affecting the supply.

  • Work with other Buyers in both Service and Production to develop strategies and implement solutions.

  • Identify and implement cost reductions.

  • Negotiate cost avoidances for suppliers requesting cost increases.

  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies.

  • Expedite launches and critical programs.

  • Ensure supplier adherence to Ford Global Terms and Conditions.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, and/or sourcing experience.

  • Previous Purchasing experience with electrical, mechanical, or physical components.

  • Project Management skills and process discipline.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Word and Excel; Access skills a plus.

  • Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership.

  • Highly organized self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross functionally.

  • Comfortable dealing with internal and external conflicts.

  • Experience with eMotors, invertors, or vehicle electrification.
