Purpose/Introduction

Performance Pipe is currently seeking a shipping operator to join the Reno, Nevada manufacturing team. This is a safety sensitive position supporting a 24/7/365 plastic extrusion operation.

Starting Hourly Wage: $20.99/hr. Overtime is paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40 hours in a work week. The work schedule is 6:30-3:00 M-F with varying weekend hours once a month.

Responsibilities

⦁ Follows safe work practices, basic operations procedures and contributes to a safe work culture

⦁ Follows the Tenets of Operations, COO/OD, and Life Saving Rules

⦁ Uses basic power tools

⦁ Measures pipe and verifies dimensional tolerances are within criteria

⦁ Prepares product for shipping per packaging requirements

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or GED

• Must have a valid driver's license

• Follows workplace/plant safety practices and procedures

• General knowledge and experience using power tools

• Basic computer and math skills

• Proficient in English. (verbal and written)

• Detailed-oriented

• Demonstrated history of applying new information (technology with math and learning skills)

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. without assistance

• Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Must be able to work safely and adhere to all plant safety requirements.

• Minimum of 2 years diesel, propane forklift operation experience.

• Basic math skills and be able to read a tape measure.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of diesel, propane forklift operation experience.

• Shipping and receiving experience in outdoor yard setting. Loading and unloading flatbeds and containers.

• Basic computer skills, specifically the MS Office Suite.
