Emerson Verification & Validation (Test Engineer) in PUNE, India

Job Summary:

Work in coordination with Technical Leads & Project Managers on E&D projects assignments for verification and validation of the Firmware/ Application software as per specified requirements and quality standards.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Reviewing Firmware/ Software requirements and preparing test scenarios.

  • Develop product validation test plans based on product requirements.

  • Preparing reports on all aspects related to the testing carried out and reporting.

  • Interacting with stakeholders to understand product requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments.

  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, and Regression)

  • Design and develop automation scripts with Python, LabView and C# when needed.

  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results.

  • Provide objective feedback to software development project teams.

  • Good to have knowledge with source control systems such as SVN/ git/ DevOps.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / Instrumentation Engineering or M. Sc. Electronics with relevant experience of 6 to 8 years

  • Experience in creating, executing the Test Plan, RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix)

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role

  • Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.

  • Experienced with using Bug Tracking tools.

  • Willingness to learn new control system strategies.

  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

  • Good organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.

  • ISTQB or Equivalent Certification will be an added advantage.

  • Experience in developing test automation framework for product testing would be a plus

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
