Genmab Senior Director, Forecasting & Business Analytics in Princeton, New Jersey

Genmab is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Forecasting and Business Analytics to lead our analytics and forecasting efforts. This critical role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in analytics, forecasting, and competitive intelligence, specifically within the biotech or pharmaceutical industries. The ideal candidate will guide the development of strategic insights that inform decision-making and fuel our growth in the oncology sector.

Strategic Planning and Performance Tracking
Collaborate with New Product Planning leads to use forecasting and business analytics for enhancing strategy and anticipating customer needs.
Oversee strategic planning, including forecasts, brand strategies, and new product launches in Oncology and I&I markets.
Lead the annual global Long-Range Planning (LRP) process for demand and revenue forecasting across all markets.
Conduct quarterly reviews with the VP and business unit stakeholders.
Guide the development of detailed strategic plans (alerts, timelines, and competitive simulations) that reflect competitive and environmental insights in our brand and franchise strategies.
Monitor emerging trends in healthcare and pharmaceuticals to assess impacts on our business strategies.

Actionable Insights
Provide commercial insights to finance and FP&A to support planning.
Create and refine revenue and unit forecasts for royalty, early medicine, and pipeline products, assessing market opportunities for portfolio planning.
Facilitate commercial evaluations and business case investigations for potential Business Development (BD) opportunities.
Integrate analytics from multiple levels-global, national, subnational-and key data sources (prescription, patient, call activity) to assess development opportunities.
Manage intelligence collection and analog development with internal and external teams.
Develop key performance metrics through dashboards in collaboration with the Commercial Development team to embed Value Excellence in brand efforts.
Select the best analytic approaches based on resources, timing, and project objectives. Integrate diverse data sources-custom, syndicated, forecasted, and modeled-into actionable strategies that significantly enhance revenue or profit.
Possess experience in Payer analytics and understanding the complexities of Managed Markets, especially within high Medicaid and Medicare segments (e.g., 340B programs).
Capability to extract insights from diverse sources and provide strategic guidance to brand teams, leading to actionable business decisions.

Mentor and develop a high-performing team that excels in deriving business insights from diverse data sources, market research, and competitive intelligence.
Inspire and empower your team to act with speed, agility, and accountability to achieve excellence.
Cultivate relationships with external vendors specializing in market research, competitive intelligence, and analytics.
Engage with a wide array of internal stakeholders including VPs, executive directors of brand, marketing teams, and IT.
Establish and sustain strong business relationships across key Commercial organization segments, demonstrating a deep understanding of internal customers' business needs.
Oversee external consulting resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Foster meaningful internal and external partnerships that provide valuable insights and identify critical unmet needs for the organization.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 14 years of professional experience required, or 12 years with an advanced degree (MSc, MBA, Ph.D.).
At least 10 years of marketing and/or finance experience with a focus on commercial forecasting, analytics, or management consulting required; global experience strongly preferred.
Proficient consulting skills needed, including consultative listening, problem definition, hypothesis generation, data analysis, and impactful oral and written presentation.
Strong proficiency in relevant software systems, including MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Tableau is required.
Demonstrate proficiency in secondary data analysis with a deep understanding of various industry data sources, such as IQVIA, SHA, MMIT, EMR, and laboratory data.
Demonstrated experience in vendor management.
Self-starter with excellent abilities in analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting business and scientific content.
Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Previous experience in people management is required.
Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical R&D processes and proven collaboration with development teams.
Proven support for senior leadership in financial forecasting and analytics.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, well-versed in industry secondary data sources and search techniques.
Willingness to travel (5-10%)

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$204,375.00---$340,625.00
