Description

Director of Evaluations What We Seek The Director of Evaluations is responsible for managing all aspects of evaluating the impact of Carnegie Learning's products and services with the goal of expanding the evidence base for their effectiveness in line with ESSA evidence standards. This includes developing an evaluation strategy, prioritizing potential studies, designing the evaluations, seeking both internal and external funding sources (such as grants), directing the implementation of the study and communicating results. This position requires a strong background in research, project management, and grant-seeking, along with a passion for education and a commitment to improving educational outcomes. An effective Director of Evaluations will have strong  knowledge of research processes and methodology  and the ability to successfully conduct field studies with large populations.  This position requires a solution-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to flexibly engage diverse partners. This position is full-time and will report to the Director of Learning Engineering. What Your Day Will Look Like Work with marketing and product teams to develop an evaluation strategy for products and services in each of our verticals (math, world languages and English language arts). Prioritize research studies in alignment with marketing goals and product maturity and funding availability Design research studies in collaboration with partners Write grants to support evaluations, when appropriate Monitor and support ongoing studies with partner school districts Communicate results through reports, publications and presentations, both within and outside of Carnegie Learning What Should be in Your Bookbag Masters or doctoral degree in education, social sciences or related field Three or more years of experience in research and evaluation in the education field Proven track record in designing and conducting rigorous research studies, including experience with experimental and quasi-experimental research designs. Demonstrated success in securing research funding, including grant writing and management. Proficiency with statistics and data analysis Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
