We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant with 3+ years of accounting experience. Position requires background in revenue and billing reconciliations.

Candidate will support finance and upper management. Working knowledge of SAP, Peoplesoft, Excel, Access, Peachtree, Solomon, QuickBooks or Timberline a plus. Duties include heavy bank and account reconciliation work, light tax reviews, preparing depreciation schedules, reviewing financial reports and other special projects required by CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations, including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting.

• Assist in the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process, including monthly financial close workbook preparation.

• Assist in implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP.

• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules.

• Maintain fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation.

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision.

• Handle recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation.

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation.

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner.

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives.

• Conduct ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Competency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Check Processing

• Proficiency in Data Entry

• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies
