Purpose of the Role

Colas Carnsew are looking for a Quarry and Maintenance Site Supervisor to exercise close and effective supervisory control over all persons on site ensuring safe and efficient conduct of all operations within the unit. As Quarry and Maintenance Site Supervisor you will co-ordinate site inspections, calibrations and monitor work schedules for quarry, asphalt plant and associated activities. The Quarry and Maintenance Site Supervisor will also monitor and analyse plant data and production statistics and produce reports in line with the business objectives.

Main Responsibilities

The Quarry and Maintenance Site Supervisor will support the operations in line with company systems and procedures and ensure maximum co-operation with weighbridge and sales staff. As supervisor you will maintain the company reputation with reference to professional standards, operational efficiency, and social and environmental responsibilities.

It is the responsibility of the Quarry and Maintenance Site Supervisor to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 & Quarries Regs 1999 and to observe the requirements of Company Safety Policy and other relevant legislation. You will be required to update your knowledge to carry out the job and attend training courses as and when required.

The Ideal Candidate

Will be a member of the Institute of Quarrying and have a registered and current record of CPD. You will also have a knowledge of the Quarrying Industry including development, extraction, load and haul, crushing and screening, asphalt production, engineering maintenance and waste management/recycling.

Underpinning knowledge of quality management systems to assist with compliance to ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 would also be advantageous for this role.
