Barilla Condiments Technologist in Parma, Italy
Barilla G. & R. Fratelli is looking for a Condiments Technologist, within the Global CoE Condiments u nit. The position will report to the Global CoE & Product Development Pesto Senior Manager and it will be based in our Headquarters in Parma and will manage projects both in Pesti and in Sauces categories.
Job Purpose
S/he is part of working team and directly manages innovation and renovation projects, from product design definition to pilot plant prototyping and to industrial production start-up .

Product design definition
Pilot Plant Prototyping
Industrial production start-up
RDQ WBS Leader in Innovation/Renovation projects
Organize, supervise & document lab trials
Organize, supervise and document pilot plant trials
Organize, supervise & document industrial plant trials
Lead tasting session to evaluate product performance
Support consumer research definition
Select manufacturing solutions
Select appropriate ingredients and assess risks together with Q&FS/GSQM Team
Prepare product specifications
Define final product shelf life
Require and contribute to sensory and panel test studies
Evaluate interaction between product and packaging
Manager artwork
Support technicians growth
Support long term innovation roadmap
Keep constain awareness on competitors at global level
Contribute to grow knowledge and expertise
Requirements
Degree in Food Technology or Food Science or Chemical Engineering or related fields;
At least 3 - 5 years of working experience in product development and/or innovation;
Fluency in Italian and in English;
Can-do attitude;
Strategic thinking;
Ability to create cross-functional relationship;
Good communication skills;
Ability to negotiate and handle conflicts;
Resilience and project management skills.
