Senior Production Planner - Onsite- Ottawa, ON

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our world class manufacturing and design facility in Ottawa, ON .!

We are looking for a high-energy, change-driven team player to join our high-performing Planning team in Ottawa, ON. As our Senior Planner, you are a professional with experience in planning/scheduling to meet customer requirements while ensuring the achievement of business and financial goals. You will also bring experience in ERP systems, and S&OP processes.

Your Challange:

Working in close partnership with the Engineering, Supply Chain, Order Entry, and Operations teams:

  • Develop and maintain release plans based on customer requirements and business goals for products to optimize throughput and inventory.

  • Manage timely releases and monitor performance to ensure on-time completion of customer orders.

  • Anticipate, identify, and address issues that could affect customer delivery and manufacturing efficiencies.

  • Ensure planning parameters affecting the business cycle (e.g. planning horizons, lot sizes, queue times, yields, order intervals, etc.) are appropriate to minimize cost and maximize performance for assigned products/programs.

  • Create, maintain and publish Line of Balance (LOB) as well as other reports to effectively communicate status and required activities.

  • Monitor inventory and take action to optimize inventory investment.

  • Actively participate in program reviews.

  • Create, update and publish monthly metrics reports as required.

What You Bring:

  • Thorough understanding of ERP systems.

  • Outstanding teaming, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills including influencing and collaboration with cross-functional internal partners.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to find creative solutions to complex issues and manage change.

  • Ability to cope with ambiguity and frequent change in direction.

  • Customer focus.

  • Ability to be a change leader in a fast-paced environment.

  • Post-secondary education in supply chain management, or relevant experience.

  • APICS Certification below highly desirable

  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing planning in an MRP environment; electronics experience and SAP experience both highly desirable.

  • Experience in S&OP processes and forecast implementation.

  • Experience using SAP S4/Hanah desirable.

  • Previous experience using IBP would be beneficial.

  • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing knowledge desirable.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Experience in an AS9100 environment is an asset.
