About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our Melbourne based team in Oakleigh.

Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor this role will be responsible for a range of activities that support the operations team to ensure the effective utilisation of machinery, the maintenance and improvement of facilities and provide support to enable the operations team and wider site to function efficiently and adequately.

In this hands on role you will be:

  • Completing maintenance on a range of machinery, infrastructure and facilities in a factory and warehouse environment

  • Completing electrical breakdown, preventative maintenance and system checks per our preventative maintenance schedule

  • Performing effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units

  • Ensuring that all electrical equipment and installations are safe and compliant to WHS and Quality standards

  • Providing diagnostic and troubleshooting support of PLC systems

  • Installing and connecting electrical components and wiring into electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components

  • Supporting the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor in planning, scheduling and executing maintenance activity

    What we are looking for

    As an integral part of the team within a wider business, you will be a clear communicator and an effective team player that can manage and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.

    You will have:

  • An electrical A-Grade qualification with all current certificates

  • Experience conducting breakdown and preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment

  • PLC diagnostic and programming skills

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with automated machinery and/or similar enviroment

  • The ability to be diligent and thorough in carrying out tasks and completing records, including lodging ESV certificates
