    Job Summary

    The Manager, Membership Marketing Campaigns & Promotions is responsible for leading all aspects of downstream marketing beginning with the development, planning, and execution of the promotional campaign plans. This includes the development and guidance of promotional messaging, content, and tactics for distribution through various materials, including but not limited to ads, brochures, email, web, social media, webinars, trade shows, “live” events, and measurement of campaign/promotion impact.

    Core Job Responsibilities

  • Support strategic marketing objectives by leading the development and execution of the promotional plan to include the development of promotional messages, content, and tactics for ads, brochures, email, web, social media, webinars, speaker engagements, and other channels as identified.

  • Manage cross-functional, internal and external teams to successfully execute projects from concept to completion – delivering results that are on strategy, on time, and meet pre-defined goals.

  • Develop creative briefs to engage agency partners to effectively and successfully develop and deliver on elements of the promotional plan.

  • Develop program launch initiatives.

  • Develop promotional campaigns, including identifying appropriate channels (including Demand Generation), developing of messages for the appropriate audience, aligning to CAP brand guidelines and high-level messaging, and collaborating to create integrated campaigns where appropriate.

  • Collaborate with the internal teams receive timely performance metrics for monitoring impact. Effectively analyze and act on the results.

  • Work with the creative and digital teams to schedule and test content, following internal processes. Obtain, analyze, and report results to include as part of the overall impact of the promotional plan.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop marketing promotional plans in support of marketing strategies and solve complex problems. Able to think out of the box and explore new territories in marketing.

  • Skilled at developing customer-centric messages and content.

  • Strong organization and project management skills - Adept at handling tight deadlines, time pressure, and multiple demands. Highly organized with a bias for action and measurable results.

  • Experience using marketing automation and project management tools.

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills – Ability to lead and participate on work teams to drive projects forward and deal with sensitive situations. Excellent verbal and written skills.

    Education

  • BS or BA, in business or marketing preferred.

    Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of business or marketing management in a corporate or non-profit organization. Leverages extensive experience and exercises good judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Leads and directs the work of others.

  • Experience leading complex projects under tight deadlines.

  • Ability to develop and successfully complete complex promotional plans.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority to deliver results.

    Location: This role is based out of the Northfield, IL headquarters and candidates must reside within a reasonable commute to the office.
