We’re looking for a Strategy Lead to join Team Snapchat! As a member of the Partnerships & Strategy team, you will help drive cross-functional progress towards Snap’s highest priority initiatives. Our team oversees our overall corporate strategy, which includes prioritization of internal investments, exploration and support of new initiatives, competitive analysis and benchmarking, M&A, and strategic partnerships.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage partnerships that can involve marketing, content, and technology components

  • Evaluate the economic and strategic cost-benefit of partnerships

  • Provide written strategic recommendations to improve our partner strategy based on market research, internal and industry trends, and opportunity scoping and sourcing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Operations, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and senior management to execute on the relationships

  • Collaborate externally with executive decision makers and execution teams to grow their businesses

  • Support the strategic objectives and interests of Snap on a global basis

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment

  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external constituents simultaneously

  • Proven track record of handling complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others internally and externally

  • Experience managing complex product integrations with third parties

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to communicate results clearly and effectively

  • Comfort with ambiguity and flexibility to work in an agile environment with changing priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to gain trust of senior management and external executives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in strategic technology partnerships (e.g. corporate business development), corporate development, or corporate strategy

  • Negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships such as strategic technology relationships and product integrations

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • JD/MBA degree

  • Ability to build and maintain a network of relationships to help navigate complex situations and foster long-term opportunities

  • Passion for big challenges and a growth mindset

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

The base salary range for this position is $152,000-$228,000 annually.

Zone B (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

The base salary range for this position is $144,000-$217,000 annually.

Zone C (https://careers.snap.com/us-payzones) :

The base salary range for this position is $129,000-$194,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
