Assistant Brand Manager - Contract

This position reports into the Senior Brand Manager and is based at Ultimo. This role is a 12 month contract position.

What you will do

The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for tracking and analysing market share and brand sales across ANZ, conducting market research, analyzing key performance indicators, and overseeing the work of our advertising agencies. You will leverage the power of cross-functional teamwork to align behind objectives to win within the market and deliver against sales, share and profit targets:

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute brand strategies that align with company goals and objectives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels

  • Lead and support commercial innovation projects across the portfolio

  • Actively participate in the growth planning process

  • Analyse market trends and consumer insights to identify opportunities for growth within your given portfolio

  • Performs highly advanced sales and competitive analysis to monitor progress of implementation versus plans and recommends adjustments as needed including evaluating ongoing share, penetration and sales performance monthly

  • Manage and oversee advertising and promotional campaigns and own BME tracking, flagging risks and opportunities to the business

  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

  • Collaborate to assist in the delivery of a digital first mindset by leading e-commerce implementation across shopper and HCP programs

  • Evaluates and implements improvements for expediting new and existing products and programs by determining criteria used in screening new and existing product ideas

  • Lead the development of key visuals and POS elements for our teams working with the Instore Excellence Team

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field

  • Tier 1 FMCG industry experience working with or within a marketing or sales role

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Experience managing budgets and analysing campaign performance

  • Ability to work in a team environment and exhibit leadership skills

  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of marketing trends and best practices

  • Strong analytical skills and advanced computer skills specifically MSOffice

  • Ability to display creativity in finding solutions to problems or ways around obstacles
