Here’s the scoop - Summary

This role is responsible for supporting operational excellence (OE) within our manufacturing organization by leveraging TPM methodologies. It provides effective and compelling data analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to underpin all aspects of supply chain performance and continuous improvement across the manufacturing sites. The position will maintain local functional expertise for some key processes (e.g., conversion cost operating system, rate review, etc.), work to develop efficient supply solutions, and recommend opportunities to drive continuous improvement. The Network IE will work with key stakeholders to develop and support the execution of the strategic plans and work streams to deliver the Champion Petfoods OGSM.

Reporting to the VP, Manufacturing & Operational Excellence, this role will be based in Nashville, TN on a hybrid work schedule at a Mars affiliate office. Travel to manufacturing sites within North America will be required.

What a typical day looks like:

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the manufacturing network.

Review manufacturing network performance metrics and support facilitation of business reviews.

Identify areas of opportunity and engage appropriate stakeholders to support the creation of plans to the opportunity areas identified.

Support critical strategic projects in Manufacturing for North America Supply Chain. Meet regularly with work stream and project leads on progress, and report status updates on overall program progress.

Support TPM implementation, Redzone implementation, and compliance to standards at the manufacturing sites.

Support key Supply initiatives by working closely with the Kitchen Directors and the CAB Manager.

Collaborate with other team leaders across Supply to resolve issues that could impact business performance.

Nurture a continuous improvement mindset and build capability at Kitchens.

Perform other tasks as required or assigned.

What are we looking for?

Bachelors' degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Science, Business, or relevant technical discipline.

10+ years of experience in Manufacturing.

Lean management system and selected Lean tool application.

Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

5+ years of experience working with and understanding TPM principals and methods (specifically, AM, PM, FI, and ET).

Multi-plant and / or multi-unit projects experience.

Training in PMI Project Management, food safety, associate safety, P&L principles, and Supply / Manufacturing practices.

Master in Business Administration desirable.

Team skills – high Performance Team experiences.

Demonstrated experience in change management/transformational projects.

Strategic agility, managerial courage, innovation management, interpersonal savvy, influencing, communication skills, planning, dealing with ambiguity.

Excellent communication, listening and influencing skills.

Critical thinking & negotiation skills.
