The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) organization plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s commercial strategy to local execution plans and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. This team drives regional plans, insights and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life for our sales and delivery organizations and enabling Microsoft Americas to deliver business impact at scale. The Azure business is a strategic growth lever for the company and a critical component to enable our mission. Our business goals consist of growing consumption of Azure services in both our customer base and acquiring new customers across Microsoft and Open Source technologies. The Azure Go-To-Market Managers (GTMMs) in the SE&O organization are responsible for leading the Azure Go-To-Market strategy and execution, to deliver customer & partner success and ultimately driving revenue and market share growth across the Americas.

We are looking to hire a Senior Director of Americas Go-To-Market for Azure Innovation to be a technical sales and marketing leader heading our Growth & Innovation team for the Americas. This team is responsible for accelerating the Go-To-Market of our incubation products as well as uncovering new market opportunities for growth.

  • Drive Business Performance: Partner with Engineering and HQ teams to drive the Americas Go-To-Market (GTM) for incubation and innovation workloads. Identify growth opportunities in the market and build clear execution plans that deliver tangible business impact to Microsoft and our customers.

  • Business Management: Drive standardized business rhythms that help increase business insights and learnings and activate leaders and sellers on investments and programs to drive customer wins and adoption.

  • Lead Sales Enablement: Create, land and champion new sales motions, ensuring connected sales and marketing execution in every segment to maximize impact. Lead and collaborate with our partner organization for partner-led execution and demand generation.

  • Product Advocacy: Provide thought leadership across the Americas on the future of cloud and our innovation portfolio. Leverage customer, partner and seller insights on competitive landscape, product gaps, sales trends, or related, to drive improvements on the GTM plan and influence strategy on new and maturing product categories.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience.

  • 5+ years people management experience.

  • 6+ years of experience leading and managing enterprise technology Go-To-Market strategy and execution to deliver customer & partner success and drive revenue and market share growth across the Americas territory.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience planning, developing, and accelerating Go-To-Market strategy and execution for new market opportunities for growth.

  • 15+ years marketing strategy, business planning, sales enablement, business development, technical pre-sales, or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years experience managing and expanding a product/solution portfolio and driving demand generation and pipeline acceleration within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization.

  • 8+ years people management experience.

  • Cross-cultural awareness: Adaptability to lead teams across multiple countries and cultures; Prior global or regional experience a plus.

Field Product Marketing M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $152,300 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $194,800 - $292,200 per year.
