KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Analysis to join our Finance and Accounting organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a broad group of stakeholders including the Management Committee, Leadership, and various teams within Strategy, Firmwide FP&A, Functional CFO groups, and Process Controllers to support the end to end planning and forecasting cycles including conducting analysis that informs the development of targets and assumptions based on firmwide and macroeconomic drivers and objective outcomes; continually assess risk and opportunities to plan and forecast at a macro level, providing input into long term financial plans and operational results including alternative scenarios and mitigation actions to be considered

  • Lead various analytical projects on a real or near real time basis around various business opportunities, economic scenarios, and initiatives on a firmwide basis; work with technology resources to develop credible, innovative analytical models and tools (utilizing various mediums from excel to more complex analytical tools) to present assumptions, risks, and dependencies to leadership in a clear and concise manner

  • Formulate and report on metrics that indicate performance, opportunities, risks, and insights on a firm-wide basis

  • Develop capabilities to conduct peer benchmarking and macroeconomic (current and forward-looking analysis) to better understand KPMGs positioning in the market and impacts on revenue, expense, operating income, cashflow, and partner compensation including potential risks and/or opportunity scenarios that could influence leadership decisions and actions; conduct macroeconomic analysis to understand potential scenarios that

Qualifications:

  • Minimum fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in public accounting or industry with responsibility for financial planning and analysis processes and outcomes

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience) from an accredited college/university

  • Strong technical understanding of business intelligence and analytical systems and applications with two to three years demonstrable experience on integrated projects using analytical tools such as Oracle Planning, Workforce, Power BI, Alteryx and more

  • Exceptional interpersonal acumen and executive presence including written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to explain complex financial and analytical principles and financial results to senior leadership

  • Solid digital acumen as it relates to accounting and financial reporting processes, technologies, and automation; SAP S4/HANA and Hyperion experience preferred

  • Excellent critical thinking skills with an ability to break down complex problems to determine root cause issues and troubleshoot and develop systemic solutions

  • Experience leading and developing high performing global and cross-functional efforts; strong program management skills with the ability to manage multiple, fast paced, and high visibility initiatives; able to identify and develop skill sets to support the future needs of the CFO organization
