Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Manchester, New Hampshire

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Manchester, New Hampshire. This role revolves around managing and maintaining our accounting software systems, with a focus on accounts payable processes and data entry. We offer a short term contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accounting software systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.

• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice receipt to payment, ensuring all transactions are processed promptly and accurately.

• Operate Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, and JD Edwards Enterprise systems proficiently.

• Handle check processing duties, ensuring all payments are made in a timely and accurate manner.

• Carry out data entry tasks, ensuring all financial data is entered and updated accurately in the system.

• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in accounts payable processes, liaising with suppliers and internal teams as necessary.

• Monitor and maintain customer credit records and applications.

• Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments and manage customer credit accounts.

• Ensure all financial data and records comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with the wider finance team to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations within the company. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is required

• Skills in Check Processing are necessary

• Proficiency in Data Entry is required

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
