Description and Requirements

We’re looking for a talented PR and Communications M anager with experience in smartphone PR to drive our communications activities across Europe, MiddleEastand Africa.It’sa high-profile role, instrumental in building ourMotorolabrand,developingand delivering centralized campaigns, curating our product outreach and working closely with local markets right across the region. 

Experience working withsmartphonebrands is important to the role, as is your ability to act as a trusted advisor to multiple stakeholders across our business.You’llhavea track recordof delivering influential integrated communications campaigns that reach targeted audiences through impactful storytelling - and be able todemonstratewhy theymattered! 

You’llbe based in Spain,ItalyortheUK, reporting to the EMEA Head ofMarketing for Motorola.

What will be your daily responsibilities?

  • You’llbe the focal point forMotorolaPRprograms 

  • You’lldevelop and deliver communications plans to meet our EMEA priorities, working closely with EMEA,Globaland localteamstoroster communications consultancies to drive those forward 

  • You’llgrow ourPRexposureonline,onbroadcast and print mediaswith relevant, newsworthy content andyou’llwork on engaging our employees at the same time 

  • You’llexplore and experiment with new formats to keep thingsboldand relevant for defined TA 

  • You’llwork closely with our marketing colleagues to exploit our EMEAPR plans.Where necessaryyou’llalso support the local delivery ofMotorola.You’ll build relationships with industry partners working to the benefit of all

  • You’llbe our expert inMotorolacommunications providing insight and recommendations for future activity, evaluate opportunities formediapartnerships and sponsorships.You’llcreate content for use across the region 

  • You willbe in charge ofmonitoring competition to finetune Motorola’s actions

What do we expect from you?

  • Minimum 5 years in public relations and communications across agency and/orin-housein thesmartphonesector, within global companies or working with international brands. Ideally have experience working in a multi-market role. 

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) - Lenovo’s business language is English, although other languages are a plus and strong written and verbal communication skills is required

  • Experience across a wide range of marketing disciplines and understanding ofleveragingpaid, earned,ownedand shared channels and in the delivery of integrated communications.

  • Be an expert communications professional with a proventrack recorddesigning and executing successful consumer focusedPR programs

  • Bea great teamplayer.You’llbe working with many, many stakeholder groups - internal and external, coordinating activity seamlessly across both the central EMEA and local teams 

  • Be organized with great attention to detail, have strong project management skills and be able to juggle multiple priorities, taking end-to-end ownership of projects 

  • Be strategic and able to make prudent decisions (at times without full information) 

  • Be influential, able to course-correct and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced environment with quickly developing situations and timelines 

  • Be hardworking and resilient - we need practical doers as well as strategic thinkers, comfortable getting things done despite limited resources
