JPMorgan Chase Lead Software Engineer - Salesforce Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Software Engineering department, you will be responsible for executing creative software solutions, leading evaluation sessions, and contributing to a diverse and inclusive team culture. This role provides an opportunity to work with advanced technologies and promote operational stability of software applications and systems.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Provides system administration support of Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects and workflow
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Ability to develop reports, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity
Strong experience working on the Salesforce Financial Service Cloud implementations in a multi org structure
Understanding of both how to enhance the platform using configuration and code (Apex & Lightning Components)
Strong experience with Salesforce and hands on experience with the Apex programming language, building Salesforce Lightning UI, Salesforce Lightning Connect to call external API, and development of REST API
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Understanding of the sales process to better align changes to the CRM platform
Platform Developer I and Platform Developer II Certification highly desired.
Leverage the ability to interpret system / business requirements and prepare specification and design document
Practical cloud native experience
