Job Overview:

APTIM is hiring to perform Installation Support Services for the United States Army Garrison Redstone (USAG-R) Department of Public Works (DPW) with our partner SUNIK. This include Pollution Controls, Compliance, Environmental Restoration Services, Landfill Operations, Engineering & Work Management Services, Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, and Service Orders for Facilities, Waste Water, Steam and Infrastructure at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.

  • Responsible for day to day management of server operations

  • Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.

  • Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.

  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, with a technical major, such as Software Engineering or Computer Science.

  • Must have strong SCCM (Systems Center Configuration Manager) skills

  • And have strong reporting skills within this application

  • Systems Administration/System Engineer certification

  • Some MS InTune / Bit Locker / SCCM integration experience helpful

  • Must have 4-6 years of system administration experience.

  • Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving rather complex issues.

  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice.

  • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
