Direct Hire Opportunity for Maintenance Techs in Hull, IA!

Pay : $27-$33/hr (+$1.50 shift differential)

Schedule : 2-2-3 (6am-6pm OR 6pm-6am)

Position Type: Direct Hire

The Maintenance Technician performs routine and break down maintenance on processing and packaging equipment and is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules and regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair/upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Efficiently repair/replace valves and pumps (seals, steams, O rings, seats, bearings, etc.).

• Effectively perform electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starter, motor leads, etc.).

• Effectively perform sanitary welding and moderate pipe fitting (stainless, copper, pvc, etc.).

• Perform utility inspections (boilers, air systems, WWTP, water systems, ammonia, HVAC, security, etc.), adjusting as needed.

• Effectively perform and assist in repair or updating and installation of equipment.

• Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA.

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the production process as needed.

• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.

• Effectively perform and assist in repair or updating and installation of equipment.

• Perform troubleshooting of equipment, including both electrical and mechanical systems.

• Complete and update work orders using in-house systems.

• Complete and maintain routine and preventive records and logs.

• Works closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.

• Perform buildings and grounds maintenance/up-keep as needed.

• Maintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes.

• Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED

• 4+ years of maintenance/repair experience

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Able to make sound and consistent decisions in accordance with policies, laws, and regulations

• Able to plan and execute tasks and projects

• Follow written, verbal, and/or diagrammatic instructions

• Strong attention to detail

• Basic math and computer skills
