HR Generalist

    HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews and reference checks.

  • Prepares new-hire paperwork.

  • Assist with maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits databases and update employee payroll records.

  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers.

  • Administers the background health and drug screening program for new hire employees.

  • Conducts new-employee orientations; develop career-pathing program; and coordinates employee development programs.

  • Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.

  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

  • Champion OJT program with all projects.

  • Coaches, counsels, and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.

  • Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action.

  • Support HR Manager as needed.

    Position requirements include:

  • BS or BA Degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, also (future use of Birddog and COINS data input).

  • Valid Driver's License and meet company guidelines to drive company vehicle.

  • Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.

  • Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised.

  • Team player and self-motivated to succeed.

  • Periodic daily travel required.
