JOB REQUIREMENTS: Due to Growth CIT Franklin is looking for aerospace and mechanical engineers experience with design and substantiation of aircraft structures. The openings we have are both entry level and experienced. Our mechanical engineers are responsible for the development and documentation of mechanical designs in a cross-functional engineering team environment. Provides support to other departments including manufacturing, sales, customer service, and quality. Products include high-performance electro-mechanical systems and components, integrated structures, and control panels used for aircraft entertainment, navigation, and communication systems. The positions will be involved in Creates designs by analyzing product or equipment specifications, performance requirements, and existing manufacturing capabilities. Depending on role can perform basic to moderately complex design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of products by applying engineering principals and established analy tical tools. Develops detailed designs by using provided by others. Research manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, process advantages, and limitations as part of long-range plant and product engineering planning. Candidates should be familiar with MS Office and 3D design software. Knowledge about the operation and design of aircraft Mechanical and avionics systems is a plus. Minimum of a bachelor\'s degree or 4 years related industry experience. JOB SKILLS * Knowledge about the operation and design of aircraft electrical and avionics systems is a plus. * Familiarity with regulatory certification requirements for aircraft electrical and avionics systems is a plus. * Proficient in MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, * Skills in the use of 2D and/or 3D design software a plus. * Optimally utilizes all channels of communications. * Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills. * Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment while maintaining a positive team environment. * Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands. * Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment preferred. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams. * A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills with high ethical standards and a positive professional image. * Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, read blueprints, drawings, and schematics. * Writing skills required to complete documents and forms.
