Packers Plus Quality Control Inspector in Edmonton, Alberta
Primary Role Focus
Manual and automated inspection of manufactured product. This role reports to the Quality Control Supervisor
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Verify material and measurements
Document inspections and generate non-conformances
Assist vendors and assembly operators in troubleshooting as required
Maintain and calibrate precision measuring equipment
Maintain cleanliness of workspace and shop
Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety Program
Operate Zeiss Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) as needed.
Position Requirements
Experience and Skills
Experience working with close tolerance measurements in oilfield manufacturing setting
Mechanical aptitude
Basic knowledge of machining practices & procedures
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Knowledge of Zeiss Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) an asset
Read, write, and speak English
Education and Training
High School Diploma or equivalency preferred
Physical, Business and Safety Requirements
Lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs
Extended periods of standing
Position is "safety sensitive" and subject to pre-employment medical testing and drug & alcohol testing
Subject to post-incident and reasonable cause drug & alcohol testing
