Position: Production Floor Supervisor Location : Dripping Springs, TX (Austin, TX area) Description: Expanding Avionics System Integration Company seeks a Production Floor Supervisor. This position requires the candidate to not only be a technical expert but a leader of a team. The Production Shift Supervisor strives daily to create an uneventful workday by remaining laser focused on schedule, planning and adherence to all corporate policies and procedures as set forth in the company Quality Control Manual and SOP’s. 1st Shift (Mon - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm) and 2nd Shift (Sun - Thursday 3:30 pm – 12 am) 3 rd Shift ( Friday – Monday 7:30am – 6:30pm ). Primary Responsibilities (The standard duties include but are not limited to): • The Production Floor Supervisor will be proficient in all facets of the day-to-day operation of the Production Department. • The Production Floor Supervisor will be proficient in all facets of the L2 Quality System both internal and external inspection requirements of the Production Department. • The production shift supervisor will have the knowledge to create production center project data packages and wire chart development IAW current SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures). • Exceptional understanding of avionics component operation on aircraft as well as how our products interface with existing avionics systems. • Understand the kitting process and provide shift leadership as required in assisting the Kitting Lead as needed. • Interact with Engineering Department via Engineering Change Request submittals, as well as a full understanding of the engineering documentation as applicable to the Manufacturing Process. • Self-starter that requires no direction or direct supervision daily. • Lead the team assigned on their shift, ensuring project completion on schedule on budget and defect free. • Train and lead the shift team members, utilizing supervisory skills both acquired on the job as well as formal training. • Stand in for Production Manager when required. • Drives process improvement and is a leader of continuous improvement. • Train others on more complex terminations such as coax, Ethernet, Quadrax as some examples. • Operate avionics test equipment such as digital multi-meter, TDR, frequency generator etc. with proficiency. • Ensure all work is done in accordance with company SOP’s and any governing technical data such as aircraft manufacturer standard wiring practices or FAA applicable requirements for safe and high-quality product completion. • Tool control, shop cleanliness, work area cleanliness is a daily responsibility as well as a dedication to producing top quality industry leading products. Preferred Qualifications: • High school diploma or trade equivalent • An understanding of Manufacturing Engineering Documentation such as Assembly Orders, Electrical Schematics and Structures Drawings. • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment • Very experienced with Aircraft Manufacturer Standard Wiring Practices Some of the requirements: Obviously, there are some requirements for the position.
