Job Overview:

Supervise / Direct Quality Control activities to determine product conformity to customer specification through effective inspection and test in accordance with the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan. Identify non-conformities and take appropriate action to control / prevent them. Conducts surveillances as applicable to verify the product follows project requirements and procedures.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Guide, Supervise and Participate in inspection activities to assure product quality.

  • Follow quality planning for the project to assure compliance through proactive measure. Consults with the Project Quality Manager (PQM), Principal or Sr. Quality Ops Specialist and Senior Assurance Specilalist concerning Non-conforming products and respective corrective & prevention plan.

  • Initiate and involve for evaluation for non-conforming products and processes when encountered.

  • Involve in preparation of project specific procedure and plans and Conduct periodic walkthrough and Perform readiness review as per the readiness review plan

  • Ensure progressive completion of certification packages and submission of Construction Record Books

  • Liaise with customer representative, Project Engineer, Field Engineers, Principal or Senior Quality Operations Specialist, NDT Inspectors / Welding Engineering Personnel to ensure that quality issues are addressed and technically resolved in line with project requirements.

  • Appraise product quality in accordance with the Project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan and determine conformity and non-conformity.

  • All inspection results need to be documented and if non-conformity exists required documentation shall be raised to establish corrective and preventive actions.

  • Provide interpretation of applicable code specifications and customer requirements. Any deviation deemed necessary to be raised with the PQM to address it through the Management of Change (MOC) process

  • Verify Quality inspectors’ effectiveness of their ability, job knowledge, punctuality and generation of inspection report through periodic competency assessment.

  • Proactive approach in prevention of a nonconformance by interface with Field Engineers and customer representative on board in conjunction with Senior Assurance Specialist and Principal or Sr Quality Operations Specialist

  • Ensure adequate coordination and controls including resources are in place with respect to offshore operations by liaising with relevant parties.

  • Conduct internal surveillances as applicable to assess the effectiveness of Quality System outlined in Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan.

  • Responsible for completion of as-built QC documentation on board and ensure that all documents shall be dispatched to Principal or Senior Quality Ops Specialist and Senior Assurance Manager

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 8+ years Quality control and related experience in Welding, Painting, Material’ Electrical, Instrumentation and / or Equipment Inspection.

  • 3+ years directly relating to supervision.

  • 2-year Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering degree / Diploma or equivalent. experience

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Adequate computer skills with MS Office applications

  • AWS CWI / NACE/ API Certifications
