Insight Global Sr. Plant Engineering Leader in Denver, Colorado

Job Description

A large grocery retailer is seeking a Sr. Plant Engineering Leader for a direct hire opportunity in the Denver area. This individual will be joining their bakery manufacturing plant so a background in food or beverage is preferred. While reporting to the Bakery Site Leader, they will direct, schedule, and control all plant engineering/maintenance functions to obtain optimum efficiencies from the equipment, utilities, and overall facilities. The Plant Engineering Leader will have a team of 3 direct reports including Jr engineers and an intern. They will be leading the development and implementation of the plant/business unit capital plan including preparing capital appropriation requests, developing competitive equipment and service bids, releasing purchase order contracts, exercising effective project management, control project funds, facilitate training and achieve the project deliverables. Other responsibilities include assisting in equipment/processing system modifications and replacement, maintaining engineering records, and ensure health & safety.

Skills and Requirements

- 2-3+ years of factory engineering experience

- 1-3+ years experience with Capital Project development and management

- Working on $100k-$1 million projects

- Bachelors degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical, or industrial engineering

- Knowledge of GMP, EPA, OSHA standards/requirements - Managing direct reports

- Food or beverage manufacturing

- Cost improvement project experience null
