A Production Supervisor job is available with a manufacturing client in Covington, Ohio. The successful associate will supervise a manufacturing team of approximately six people in our Extrusion Department. He or she will ensure that the shift maintains a high level of productivity while ensuring that company's quality levels are met at all times. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Training for this position will take place on days shift. Once training is complete, they will be assigned to the night shift. This is a two-week rotation position: Work Monday & Tuesday/Off Wednesday & Thursday/Work Friday, Saturday & Sunday/The next week is the opposite: Off/ON/Off.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consistently inspects production to ensure the product is being run according to the specifications of the job; takes corrective action to resolve problems

• Maintains accurate production and quality control records daily.

• Responsible for all shift production employees and equipment in the facility

• Performs administrative duties such as associate counseling forms, vacation requests, and performance reviews.

• Motivate and develop team for superior job performance.

• Always upholds 'Safety First' mindset.

• Ensures all company policies, procedures and standards are communicated effectively, maintained, and followed.

• Organizes work throughout the facility while performing and leading others to complete operational tasks.

• Assign personnel to their respective lines and job tasks for that day.

• Complete production reports daily.

• Perform effective shift huddles and cover breaks for associates.

• Oversee that all personnel are dressed appropriately with the correct PPE and ensuring associates are following the GMPs.

• Assure quality of the film being produced meets the company standards and customer specifications.

• Assure all lines are manned to consistently mfg. film production.

• Coordinates with prior shift supervisor and performs shift change check list.

• Conducts one-on-one meetings with associates to perform counseling sessions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS diploma or equivalent required, preferred associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 5 years of supervisory experience.

• Prior production supervision experience in mfg. setting, preferably in blown film, plastic extrusion or injection molding is required.

• Able to work independently.

• Detail-oriented possessing excellent organizational, time management, and follow up skills

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Able to effectively analyze and interpret the shift and workload to maximize productivity and minimize scrap.

• Computer literate with proficiency utilizing software products such as: MS Word, Excel and Email applications

• Able to calculate amounts such as proportions, percentages, area and volume
