job summary:

Growing manufacturer in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to add to their team for 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, solid manufacturing experience and a design background. At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing is required. Excellent benefits and work/life balance; will provide relocation for the right candidate! This is a fully onsite position.

responsibilities:

  • Manages a team of 8 employees, providing training and assistance as well as overseeing design work

  • Develops comprehensive project plans and technical systematic solutions for engineering development projects

  • Conducts testing and reviews for errors and non-conformance

  • Distributes incoming workflows among designers and testers

  • Supports shop supervisors and production personnel with design criteria and design issues

  • Coordinates with production team regarding timeline for product release manufacturing

  • Assists production with troubleshooting product machining requirements and specifications

  • Supports sales staff for customer inquiries and quotes; assists with estimating in the quoting process, including supplying reference drawings and estimated engineering hours for completion

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering preferred

  • At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing

  • 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience in design

  • Ability to manage engineering projects including estimates, design, and production

  • Ability to read, understand, and create drawings and bills of materials and spreadsheets

  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge/testing experience

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD

  • strong communication and leadership skills to manage different personalities

  • Proficiency with MS Office software

  • Some travel is required, about 3 days per month
