Experienced and talented chemical engineer with experience in e in plant design, construction to commissioning. CCS experience is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Managing and supporting multidisciplinary project teams and communicating with clients in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects for:

  • Project development assignments

  • Technical due diligence assignments

  • Strategic advisory assignments

  • Developing practical solutions for a given problems listed from customer.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Should have experience in the process steps of the establishment of Chemical or power plant

  • Proficient in developing and reviewing Basic and Detailed Engineering design packages.

  • Preparation of ITB technical documents for new projects.

  • Capability to develop Simulation models and generate Heat & Mass Balance for existing, new process plants, PFDs, UFDS and P&IDs.

  • Proficient in process design of Equipment, Pump Hydraulics, Control Valve and Line Sizing.

  • Conversant in relief calculation methodologies, PSV Sizing, Flare Header Sizing, Vent and Blowdown study.

  • Experience on Process Safety studies HAZOP, SIL and 3D model reviews.

  • Familiar with engineering work processes, good inter-discipline coordination and mentor junior engineers.​​​​​​​

  • Experience on manpower estimation, proposal preparation and bid evaluation.

  • Prepare preliminary cost estimation for early-stage gate projects.

  • Good interpersonal skills with problem solving skills.

  • Possess leadership skills to handle pressure situations and should be able to negotiate with the customers.

  • Possess experience of one full project life cycle of consulting (preferred) or project management in a professional environment related to any chemical plant or power plant. Retrofit like CCS is preferred.

  • Experience in the design and development of various components of CCS and necessary standards.

  • Thorough understanding of plant project development, design and engineering, project economics, commissioning, site analysis (including foundation/plant erection), risks, mitigation.

  • Experience with industry guidelines and best practises.

  • Should be ready to travel.

  • Should have experience in working with multiple customers across the globe and understand their work culture.

  • Work Location: Calgary, Canada

  • Must have Professional Engineer registration in Alberta.
