What is the job about?

The Lead Business Analyst for WU Product Development is part of the management team and plays a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within the WU product development efforts. The role combines financial expertise with a deep understanding of product development processes to support the successful launch and management of new products or features.

Your main responsibilities :

• Lead and develop analysis regarding the development projects (i.e. DPs) portfolio, creating processes for evaluating and prioritizing the available short/long term resources. Maximize the projects insights and provide transparency of complete projects portfolio in WU division.

• Participate in building of the business cases from DP0 to support the initial investment, linking the investment with the targets in the business and financial supervise the project along the entire life.

• Conduct detailed cost analysis to determine the cost structure of new products or features.

• Implement best practices and tools to enhance financial planning, analysis, and reporting capabilities so to easily monitor and evaluate financial risks throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve the approved objectives.

• Provide updates to the PD VP on the financial development of the portfolio and the development activities and supports the WU PD function with information, analysis, scenarios throughout the product development life cycle.

• Leads and supports the preparation of budgets and forecast for WU Product Development activities, and follow up the actuals, identifying the reasons for deviations and proposing the corrective measures.

Your background

We imagine that you have:

• BS/master degree in accounting or finance required with minimum 6 years experience in Finance role.

• Presentation and communication skills. Ability to summarize data and present conclusions clearly and concisely to senior management.

• Experience building planning models, including strategy, budgets, and forecast cycles/programs.

• Challenges proposals and decisions in a constructive, objective and professional way. Provides alternative options and keeps the long-term interests of all stakeholders in mind.

• End-to-end value chain perspective, enabling collection of data from multiple source systems and translation into an aggregate dashboard.

• Strong numerical proficiency, analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Extensive use of complex spreadsheets and datasets to consolidate and analyze data.

• Proven ability to work closely with Management.

• Style that is collaborative, service oriented and supportive.

• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and be self-sufficient.

• Very good knowledge of SAP R3 FI, SD modules and BW. Super user in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.
