FairIsaac Corporation Analytic Science - Lead Scientist in Bozeman, Montana

Fair Isaac Corporation seeks a full-time Analytic Science - Lead Scientist. Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ at Bozeman, MT. The primary duty of the Analytic Science - Lead Scientist is to serve as a lead level member of a highly talented team of software developers, data scientists, and modelers delivering advanced real-time transaction analytics solutions deployed into industry-leading fraud and credit risk products. This position is a contributor to new FICO products and strategic initiatives related to analytic innovation with a strong focus on building and deployment of cloud-based analytics solutions for the FICO Platform. This position works side by side with a talented team of scientists and engineers who build industry leading solutions, share a passion for innovation, and stay at the forefront of modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. Specific duties include: 1) Design and develop high-performance analytic software capabilities to enable the efficient development of industry-leading fraud and credit risk applications. 2) Design and create software to support efficient integration and deployment of analytic products and solutions by leveraging a variety of analytic enterprise and cloud languages/platforms. 3) Work with analytics teams to understand the requirements from their analytic solutions and algorithms, and provide high-level design choices while enforcing technical standards and performance awareness. 4) Develop a Domain-specific Language (DSL) for analytic model authoring. Develop tooling to support the use of the DSL for model authoring. Document and train on the use of the DSL. Support modeling teams in their use of the DSL. 5) Develop web-based services, applications, and static documentation websites on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to drive efficiency and process improvements. 6) Conduct innovation projects and POCs for new technologies and solution architectures and make recommendations for applicability in existing tech stack. 7) Mentor and lead junior members of the team on software design and best practices. 8) Contribute independently as well as a team member. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and five (5) years of related industry experience developing cloud-based, enterprise software for predictive modeling and analytics. Experience must include three (3) years of experience, which may be concurrent, in all of the following: 1) Experience in two or more statically-typed JVM languages including Java, Scala, or Kotlin. 2) Developing a Domain-specific Language (DSL), grammar and parser using either a handwritten parser, the Cucumber parser for a Gherkin-like DSL, or a computer language parser generator such as Antlr, Yacc, or Bison. 3) Proficiency in use of the shell scripting languages Bash and Python. 4) Industry Experience developing REST-based services using Amazon Web Services (AWS) capabilities. Demonstrated experience at the level of AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or above. 5) Industry experience with the use of Git, Maven/Gradle, continuous integration (CI) technology (e.g., Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI, Azure Pipelines, AWS Code Build, etc.) and containerization and deployment solutions including Docker and Kubernetes. 6) Experience with software development best practices including Agile development. All experience may be gained concurrently and may have been gained before, during or after completion of the Master’s degree program. Full-time position.
