Summary of the Position In this position, the Receiver will be responsible for unloading incoming freight and storing of raw materials. They must be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and carry up to 40lbs. Computer skills are necessary and manufacturing experience is preferred. This will all be done while working in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Essential Responsibilities Ability to coordinate daily deliveries to be received and stored. Verify incoming materials and label accordingly. Work closely with the Purchasing Dept. in processing paperwork, checking hot sheets, and following special receiving or inspection instructions as well as reporting shortages. Distribute non-inventory material as required. Determine proper storage locations for all inventory. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per the defined reject process. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards. Operates hand pallet jack and forklift as necessary. Operates a tugger tow vehicle with delivery cart(s) when required. Works at the direction of the Department Supervisor. Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision. Participates in Team meetings and projects. Works effectively in a team environment. You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements. Held responsible and accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use good safety judgment. Expected to report all unsafe activities and conditions to the Supervisor and/or Safety Representative. Experience/Skills/Abilities Ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, & memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other members of the organization. Add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Basic personal computer skills. This position also requires you to be able to prioritize tasks.
