About the role

We are hiring experienced and capable Service and Repair Technical Assistants for Penang island. Reporting to a Section Manager, you will work closely with various other departments such as Service Sales, NE Sales and Project, Quality, Environment/Health & Safety to ensure work is carried out efficiently and safely.

What you will be doing

• Carry out 100% of lift maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory to achieve continual operation

• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship

• To ensure that all works performed (i.e. servicing, parts replacement, repairs and breakdown) are documented with relevant customer's request

• To attend as soon as reasonably possible, all breakdown callback assignments, especially to give priority for 'man trap' situation

• To perform other repair works as instructed by Supervisor

• To report all abnormal findings to Supervisor for further action

• Any others duties that may be given by the Supervisor from time to time

• This position maybe required for 24-hour Breakdown Callback Standby duties

What you will need to be successful

• At least 2-3 years of experience in the elevator and escalator industry

• Have basic Electrical, Electronic and or Mechanical knowledge, able to troubleshoot and solve technical problem will have added advantage

• A committed professional, with Safety as your priority

• Comfortable using electronic and digital tools

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision

• Willing to travel within Penang island for work and be able to standby to attend to call-backs

• Self-disciplined, curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
