Summary of Role:

At GlobalFoundries, Human Resources is an integrated part of the business and positioned as a key strategic business partner devising and implementing progressive workforce strategies enabling the accomplishment of business growth. HR is at the heart of every business decision in every part of the business. We partner closely with the business leaders to drive an ambitious and comprehensive people strategy driving business impact while balancing culture, employee engagement, talent and organization effectiveness.

Reporting to the VP of HR , Director of HR will provide change management , organization development, talent, and workforce development support for large global organizations including our engineering and product organizations . The Director of HR will engage closely with business leaders to establish and implement a comprehensive workforce strategy in support of business objectives , spanning across workforce planning, organizational development, talent, employee productivity and engagement. In addition, they will lead HR initiatives from development through execution .

R esponsibilities include :

  • Develop and drive in partnership with leadership people programs to maximize business impact around culture, employee engagement, talent and organization effectiveness

  • Builds, develops and engages a world class global HR business partner team

  • Work with global HR team to develop and deploy initiatives

  • Lead transformation initiatives and partner closely with business leaders to link the organizational, business and workforce strategies to improve organization effectiveness, and performance

  • Establish and implement overall workforce strategy, organizational design, change management and workforce planning to drive sales transformation.

  • Build and develop a strong and effective organization and team

  • Leads talent strategy and process to develop world-class team

  • Align performance management and reward systems to drive and reinforce a culture of high performance and innovation within the client groups .

  • Champion diversity and inclusion, career development and recognition initiatives to increase and sustain a high performing culture and high level of employee engagement

  • Drive and elevate employee engagement strategies and plans to create the best places to work within those organizations

  • Ensure HR programs and plans are aligned to the business priorities and monitors effectiveness through the tracking of key measures

  • Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence on implementation of the various initiatives, people processes and programs across the client groups

  • Talent Acquisition and Management – Strong knowledge of the talent market . Identifies , assesses, upgrades, and aggressively develops talent

  • Program/Project Management - Understands and applies program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track, and measure programs and projects designed to improve performance in support of business requirements.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required ; Masters Degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred.

  • 12+ years’ experience in a diverse range of HR functions working within progressive HR models, preferably in a high technology environment.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing organizational change initiatives, developing global workforce plans and identifying and creating organization capabilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate in a complex global environment and deal with ambiguity. Demonstrates courage and willingness to take risks to deliver results.

  • Strong track record positively influencing senior leaders.

  • Proven track record of great execution and leadership.

  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical action to drive results

  • Leverage strong business acumen and analytic capability to integrate HR and business strategies

  • Effective in coaching/influencing/negotiating and managing conflict.

  • Build credibility and relationships and is a strong collaborator.

  • Exceptional communication and project management skills.

  • Resilient with a high level of personal integrity and energy.

Expected Salary Range

$142,500.00 - $263,300.00
