Description

Robert Half has partnered with a distribution company in Aurora in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist! The Accounts Payable Specialist position is paying $50,000-$55,000 per year and provides a great benefits package and work/life balance!

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the following:

• Provides accurate data entry and processing of invoices.

• Ensures timely payments to avoid late charges and negative impact on time discounts.

• Pays invoices by obtaining payment authorizations, matching transaction documentation, and scheduling/preparing disbursements.

• Evaluates completeness and accuracy of invoices submitted for payment, including determination and implementation of corrective action to resolve errors involving invoice coding or application of payment, and reaching out to vendors as necessary.

• Prepares for two check runs every week and files office copies of checks.

Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist include:

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience

• Comfortable with pivot tables & vlookups in Excel
