Finance Transformation Analyst

Position Summary

The Finance Transformation Analyst is responsible for leading and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of finance transformation initiatives in an organization. This position involves leading a cross-functional team of finance professionals, business systems analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of transformation initiatives.

The individual will serve as a strategic leader and steward, requiring exceptional communication skills, strong cross-functional skills, effective program management, strong business acumen and knowledge of the finance functions, experience to effectively manage finance transformational programs and communicate with cross-functional partners, ability to work effectively with diverse groups, be skillful with quantitative/qualitative analytical methodologies, tools, and dashboards, use data to drive decisions, can identify risks, be able to escalate effectively, identify correction action early, drive decisions and ensure successful and timely delivery of projects to completion with the highest level of quality. This individual must be a driver, leader, team player, and thought partner.

Finance Transformation Analyst Essential Duties

• Develop and oversee the finance transformation program's overall strategy, timeline, budget, and resources to meet business objectives.

• Define the scope of finance transformation, assess the impacts on finance processes, and identify key stakeholders and their requirements.

• Define, design, and implement finance transformation process improvements, controls, and operational efficiencies.

• Implement best practices for finance operations, financial accounting and reporting, forecasting, planning and analysis, budgeting and control, treasury, taxation, etc.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including finance, business partners, IT, and external partners such as auditors.

• Measure and track the benefits of the finance transformation program against established goals and targets.

• Manage and motivate the finance transformation team, ensuring high levels of collaboration, quality standards, and adherence to best practices.

• Monitor and report on program performance, including metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of finance transformation initiatives.

• Identify and mitigate program risks and escalate issues and challenges to senior management as appropriate.

Finance Transformation Analyst Position Requirements

• Education Required: Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

• Details on required experience: 7+ years of accounting and finance recruiting within a global organization

• Details on functional knowledge: At least 5+ years of experience in finance transformation, finance operations, financial planning, and analysis, or a related field, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of financial processes, and best practices.

• Certified Public Accounting (CPA)

• 2-4 years Big Four experience within KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, or EY

• Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering large-scale finance transformation programs in a fast-paced environment, working across multiple stakeholders/partners.

• Familiarity with finance technology applications and platforms, including financial systems and reporting tools, ERP systems (SAP / 4 HANA), and automation tools/applications.

• SQL Knowledge

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and experience with escalating early to fuel velocity.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build durable relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Travel Requirements: As needed to meet service-level requirements and for required business meetings.

Salary range $75-85/hr W2. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
