Who we’re looking for

Grow the business across TFS’ three product areas through existing business and potential opportunities (e.g., expanding share, insurance products). Maintain existing business, leverage internal resources and expand business based on designated territory. This role supports a portfolio that includes Mazda Financial Services (MFS) requiring an understanding of the specific criteria and metrics relevant to the portfolio

What you’ll be doing

Drives MFS business by influencing the Regional Manager Sales, dealer principal and dealers to recommend MFS loans, selling new insurance products, and managing the full sales cycle for wholesale loans

• Conducts monthly business reviews with sales team (up to Regional Portfolio Manager level) and with dealer principal, business owner or responsible executive to understand business need, strategic goals, and performance for dealerships; uses tracking and analytics to monitor sales objectives against sales forecasts by dealer and by territory

• Identifies and pursues opportunities from dealers, sales team members, etc. and serves as the “quarterback” coordinating internal MFS resources (e.g., Product Manager, Portfolio Sales Manager, credit, funding, wholesale departments) to meet dealer needs while trying to increase profitability

• Plan dealer strategy with Product Manager and drive internal team execution of income development opportunities at dealers

• Meets with dealerships to provide relevant MFS information on insurance products, loan promotions, and market share

• Partners with Portfolio Sales Manager to determine go-to market strategy for dealers within territory; discusses progress during weekly check-ins with the Portfolio Sales Manager

What you bring

Minimum 4 years of experience in a captive finance and/or insurance environment or equivalent

• B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent related experience, finance degree preferred

. • Understanding of captive automotive finance business and dealership financial services products, services, operations with focus on sales, finance, and insurance

• Ability to articulate value of MFS products and services, conduct sales calls, identify/close business opportunities

• Demonstrated leadership and consultative selling skills

• Automotive dealer contact experience

• Public speaking/Presentation skills The following functions/accountabilities are essential for all jobs:

• Ability to build relationships with a broad audience both internally and externally

• Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills

• Work collaboratively with other team members

• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Added Bonus if you have

  • Experience consulting and selling Voluntary Protection Products (e.g. Vehicle Service Agreements, GAP, Prepaid Maintenance, etc.) at an automotive dealership.

  • Exposure to dealership operations including F&I, Sales Management, Service, Parts.

  • Commercial automotive experience at a captive finance company, bank or dealership.
