POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for performing daily general facility maintenance tasks, leading safety initiatives and the ability to guide two custodial employees. This position works with facility managers to determine the need for outside contractors, and schedule and meet with same. The ideal candidate will ensure that daily facility maintenance operations are running effectively and efficiently.

This position will be located at our Nashville, TN Distribution Center, working Monday thru Friday. Occasional travel to our Distribution Center north of Salt Lake City, Utah may be required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Review/update maintenance workload and priorities, while also guiding two custodial employees.

• Daily work will involve performing general maintenance tasks, including (but not limited to) minor plumbing repairs (minor electrical a plus), carpentry, welding, changing light bulbs.

• Oversee safety improvements, such as regular fire pump tests for the facility sprinkler system and performing facility walkthrough inspections to identify potential hazards.

• Involvement in leading safety meetings for a Safety Team of 3+ employees

• Collaborate with Facility Operations Director and/or Department Manager to assess repair needs and coordinate appointments with external contractors.

• Develop protocols for safety programs and systems to ensure safe and clean work environment

• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate material moving equipment, such as forklifts, cherry picker.

• Ability to work with other internal employees on a daily basis and with external contractors as needed.

• Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair issues.

• 3+ years experience (preferably in a distribution/warehouse maintenance environment).

• Technical abilities, such as (but not limited to) basic carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical wiring and property maintenance.

• Computer use will be required, programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel.
