Job Description

Operate tractor-trailers and/or other Class A vehicles to transport goods between various locations

  • Pre-cool and monitor new refer trailers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and ensure all safety equipment is in working order
  • Secure cargo safely and within weight restrictions using straps, pads, rope, and other fasteners
  • Read maps and comply with all DOT rules regarding hours of service and rest breaks
  • Maintain log books and record keeping of working hours, miles, and shipments
  • Efficiently Unload palitized  product from 3 accessible temp zones of the trailer using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Communicate accurately to dispatch about deliveries, loads, hours, and any issues on the road
  • Conduct cargo checks during transport to ensure safe delivery of food grade products
  • Comply with all company and Department of Transportation regulations
  • Handle customer/consumer feedback and ensure concerns are addressed appropriately

     

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A license with no restrictions and clean driving record

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 75 lbs
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and safety regulations
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to potentially be away from home for extended periods, average 1 week
  • Physically able to meet the demands of long haul routes and loads
  • Understand and abide by Hana Group policies, standards, mission and core values
