Job Summary:

The Resource Industries Aftermarket - Senior Marketing & Sales Operations Representative serves as the aftermarket sales expert for both the Electric Rope Shovels and Draglines products. The role works closely with our dealers, customers, product groups, as well as other business partners to develop comprehensive go to market sales strategies that will drive our services growth agendas for these products. What you will do:

The Aftermarket - Senior Marketing & Sales Operations Representative is key in driving alignment between our aftermarket services strategic plans and sales growth execution. The incumbent should demonstrate creativity, innovation, strong business acumen, and outstanding product/industry knowledge or marketing/distribution knowledge, with a sensitivity for dealer & customer financial impacts.

The incumbent must possess a background in mining applications, a strong understanding of life cycle costs, and an awareness of the mining industry and marketplace needs. This role provides consultation to various business partners, dealers, and customers by regularly collecting voice of dealer (VOD)/voice of customer (VOC) for new product introduction and distribution needs, as well as defining and developing unique customer centric solutions that will support services growth. This role works with all levels of management to collaborate on industry and product specific growth plans, and the development of merchandising programs and sales variance management. The incumbent will provide guidance and training to dealers to drive direction for future services and industry needs.

Additional duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify issues and develop strategies to overcome them to support the execution of growth and turn-around plans.

  • Make market driven recommendations on parts targets and growth strategies to achieve sales targets.

  • Support the development of marketing programs to achieve sales volume targets along with market share objectives.

  • Collect voice of market input with the industry group and voice of customer (VOC) from regional field.

  • Lead analysis of industry key competitors to identify strengths, weaknesses, and tactics required to compete.

  • Support the development of Customer Value Agreements

  • Support dealer development through ongoing sales rep training.

  • ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.

  • Employee may also be responsible for performing other job duties occasionally as assigned.

What skills you will have:

Effective Communications : Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs of customers and dealers.

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Value Selling : Highly knowledgeable of the value and benefits of Caterpillar Electric Rope shovel and Dragline products to align customers’ needs or requirements with Caterpillars solutions.

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Edmonton, Alberta, Or Fort McMurray, Alberta
