Overview

This role is a Diageo FT Role over a period of 24 months at the end of that period will have an opportunity to look for other roles within Diageo. This person will be working on Strategic Programs & how they connect within the Supply Planning Function. They will need to be a self-starter that is proactive and has the skills to engage all critical partners to shape the outcome. In addition, they will need to have the technical skills to build tools from scratch that will help facilitate complex questions within a Supply Chain context.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide overall leadership and guidance on Supply Strategy Programs & their impact to the overall Supply Chain Planning Process

  • Working with the broader Supply Chain Planning Team to help develop tools that will drive value within the planning process & support the goals of strategy projects.

  • Have the leadership capability to understand when and why to challenge the validity of asks as it relates to programs and the impacts on the supply chain using historical and/or statistical analysis. Although the final decision may not be made by this role, their analysis will often be the key factor for making the recommended decision.

  • Proactively evaluates and identifies constraints and decides/recommends a course of action based on an analysis of cost and service trade-offs, manufacturing trade-offs and various options.

  • Required to understand key drivers for each partner impacted and drive consensus on end target as appropriate across various functions including Supply, Commercial, Tech Ops, Finance and Marketing.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of MPS/MRP and DRP methodology as well as use of SNP APO/BW/OMP

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior business leaders and different teams across the organization.

  • Excellent data management skills with demonstrated use of a variety of data analysis and organizational tools to uncover insights.

  • Experience leading/ driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • A naturally curiosity that is willing to experiment.

  • APICS affiliation preferred.

  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work within a demanding and bold project schedule and environment.

  • Solid end to end understanding of supply chain and service, cost and cash tradeoffs.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Operations and/or Supply Chain Management

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations / Supply Chain Management, or related business discipline.
